Backyard Discovery Norwood 20ft x 12ft Gazebo

PRODUCT DETAILS

The Backyard Discovery Norwood 20ft x 12ft Gazebo is a long cedar carport/gazebo with a peak roof, sized to shelter a vehicle, an outdoor kitchen or a full dining set — and BlueFiks Pros provides expert Backyard Discovery gazebo installation service nationwide.

It is built from 100% cedar wood with 6" x 6" cedar support posts, powder-coated steel brackets and anchors and galvanized steel hardware, under a peak roof of 29-gauge Tudor Brown galvanized steel. Backyard Discovery rates it for winds up to 100 mph when anchored as specified and for up to 12,600 lbs of roof weight or 30 inches of snow. A patented PowerPort with 3 outlets and 3 USB ports mounts to any post (power source not included). Assembled size is about 226.25 x 129.25 x 122 in (W x D x H), and it carries a 5-year warranty.

At more than 1,150 lbs, the Norwood 20x12 is a true structure build: long ridge and rafter pieces have to be raised and aligned at over ten feet, and the posts must be laid out precisely so the roof panels meet cleanly along the peak. Correct anchoring is required for the wind and snow ratings, and the cedar may need sealing afterward. Our BlueFiks certified team brings the crew, ladders and tools to assemble the Norwood level and square, anchor it to your concrete pad or deck, and mount the PowerPort.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can the Norwood 20x12 be used as a carport?

Q1

Yes. Backyard Discovery sells it as a carport/gazebo, and its roughly 226 x 129 in footprint is designed to cover a vehicle or a large outdoor living area.
How heavy is the Norwood 20x12 and how many people does it take to build?

Q2

The assembled structure weighs about 1,150 lbs, and the long roof members must be lifted at height, so it needs a multi-person crew with ladders. Our team handles the full build.
What surface should the Norwood 20x12 be anchored to?

Q3

It should sit on a level, solid base such as a concrete pad or a strong deck and be anchored exactly as the Backyard Discovery manual specifies to reach its 100 mph wind rating.
